The timeline for completion depends on the scope of the project. As we get to know your needs and start planning, we can provide a clearer picture.
However, we have completed enough successful projects to offer average times for our most popular services. For initial planning purposes, a full kitchen or bathroom remodeling project typically takes one to two weeks. Depending on the size of the house, painting projects can take two to five days.
Usually, our clients do not need to leave the house during a remodeling project. However, we ask that you steer clear of the project area while we are working. The Usethatcam Home Improvement team takes every precaution to prevent damage and keep your home safe.
Our team works from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. We will be out of your home by the time your family gets settled in for the evening.
Because of our weekday hours, we understand that you may not be home when we are here. Developing a workable schedule that maintains your home’s security is part of pre-construction planning. Some of the issues we will want to consider include:
Pets: For everyone’s safety, you will want to keep any animals out of the work area. Some owners close them in a room for the day, and others arrange to have them out of the house. Keep in mind that home renovations are not a quiet process!
Children: If we know there will be small children in your home after we leave, we will take extra steps to keep the work area safe.
Other workers: If childcare or other services come to your home during the day, we don’t want to surprise them. We will develop a schedule that minimizes disruption for your household.
For outdoor projects, we will talk about your current plantings and gardens during the planning stage. In most cases, we can avoid sensitive areas if we know ahead of time. If our work disturbs your lawn, we include grading and seeding around the construction site in our regular services. However, we leave replanting up to you.
At Usethatcam Home Improvement, our planning process leads to a smooth project. However, there can be times when the scope must change. You never know what is behind old drywall, and unexpected issues may require more labor. Changes might also happen if you are inspired to add or take away from the original plan during the project.
In all cases, we create formal change orders to ensure everyone is on the same page regarding additional costs. Our dedication to client communications means our team will make certain that you understand the reasoning behind any changes and the new estimate.
Our standard payment schedule is a 25% down payment with the remainder due at completion.
